Service Description

Heartsaver courses cater to individuals with limited or no medical training who require a course completion card for various purposes, such as work-related requirements (e.g., OSHA), regulatory obligations, or other mandates. They are particularly well-suited for a wide range of professions, including those in construction, childcare, health and fitness, CNA's, group home employee and more. These courses are also excellent for anyone seeking to be prepared for emergency situations in various settings. The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is structured to equip participants with the skills needed to deliver first aid, CPR, and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, prompt, and effective manner. It reflects the most current scientific and educational guidelines established in the American Heart Association's CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) updates. During this course, you'll learn the fundamentals of First Aid, how to respond to medical emergencies, address life-threatening emergencies related to opioids, and deal with environmental emergencies. It also covers Adult CPR and AED use, along with preventing illness and injury. Typically, the course takes around 5 hours to complete, which includes optional lessons and breaks. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion e-card, valid for two years.
